The McGowan Labor Government’s first regional Community Cabinet will be held in Bunbury on November 5 and 6, 2017.

The open, modern and community-focused Community Cabinet program has been designed to encourage greater engagement between local residents and businesses, and the State Government.

A highlight of the two-day event will be a Town Hall meeting where hundreds of community representatives are expected to attend and will have the opportunity to ask questions about the issues unique to Bunbury and Dalyellup.

In addition to the Town Hall, Government Ministers will conduct a number of consultations and meetings with community organisations and leaders to hear more about successes and challenges facing the community.

More Bunbury Community Cabinet information, including Town Hall registrations, will be made available throughout this month.

“This event is a demonstration of the priority the McGowan Labor Government puts on engaging with the community and ensuring government is conducted in an open and community-focused way.” Mark McGowan has said.

“Community Cabinet is a chance for people to have a direct say on issues that matter to their community.

“I look forward to meeting residents, community groups and representatives from the business community at the Town Hall, during which we will be discussing key local issues including our Plan for Jobs.”
