Queens Park Primary School
Queens Park Primary School on Treasure Road is one of our longest-established local schools (over 100 years). It has pre-primary and kindergarten as well as primary classes but it still relatively small at about 200 students, so is very friendly and it’s family focused. The school celebrates diversity.

Queens Park Primary School has a strong focus on preparing your child academically. ‘Strength through knowledge’ provides the focus for providing a curriculum that will ensure your child is well prepared to fulfil their aspirations. It is more than a motto – it underpins every teaching and learning task undertaken at Queens Park Primary School.
Literacy and numeracy are of critical importance, and we have made teaching these a whole school focus. All the staff have supported this approach and the school is starting to see some fantastic student achievement.
The curriculum also recognises that developing your child’s self-esteem, decision-making skills and ability to take responsibility is vital. These are taught through empowerment and positive reinforcement.
This is a school that believes children learn best when they feel safe to try, so your child make mistakes, and then be helped to understand can be learnt from the experience.
Most importantly the school is quick to applaud their success. Their philosophy is to nurture the ‘whole’ child, and equip them for life.
Every child has a place and diversity is celebrated.
The Principal of Queens Park Primary School is Julie Loader and Megan Klompmaker is the Registrar.
