A technical report analysing ongoing water quality issues at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH) was publicly released on the 3rd of May, 2017.

The Jacobs Report has been developed by the Department of Treasury’s hydraulic engineering adviser and provides a holistic view of water quality issues to date, and recommendations beyond practical completion.

In addition to a detailed history of events around water quality issues, the report provides detailed analysis on potential sources of lead and options for remediation.

Treasurer Ben Wyatt said a full media briefing and release of supporting documentation was in line with the State Government’s commitment to ensuring transparency around information about construction issues at the hospital.
