A re-elected McGowan Labor Government will restore
the old Ferndale Primary School oval to a public park.

The old Ferndale Primary School oval is a special place for many people in the Ferndale community. This week, I announced a re-elected McGowan Labor Government will restore the oval to a public park for the community to enjoy with an investment of $450,000 in bushland rehabilitation and park improvements.

The investment will create jobs and stimulate the local economy, but most importantly, we’ll restore the old school oval to a public park for the Ferndale community to enjoy for generations to come.

Before the 2017 State Election, I promised a McGowan Labor Government would retain the old school oval as public open space. I was humbled by the support I received from the Ferndale community, who elected me to be their voice in Mark McGowan’s Labor Government. This commitment builds on that promise to create a park for the community to enjoy for generations to come.
